Aelius Biotech is delighted to announce the launch of Mucus Mondays, a weekly series of facts on LinkedIn.
Mucus is not just a barrier. It has many characteristics that means Mucus, and the principle component Mucin, has other pivotal roles in physiology -- key roles that are often overlooked when scientists are developing new functional foods, formulations and pharmaceuticals. The series of short facts will explain why Mucus should not be left out of in vitro models of the Gastro-intestinal tract.
